When I began writing Heirs of Ash, I entered a new world filled with challenges I never anticipated facing.
It wasn't merely about putting a story on paper.
I had to confront creative blocks, clarify the deeper purpose of the narrative, recognize when I was over-explaining — the dreaded info dump — or telling when I should have been showing. At times, I wanted to inject poetry everywhere and ended up losing the natural rhythm of the prose.
And in the middle of that journey, I realized one thing: having a great idea is only the beginning.
I had already started other stories that never reached the finish line.
Artificial intelligence became an important partner during the drafting of Heirs of Ash. Talking to an AI helped me uncover blind spots I couldn't see on my own, explore alternatives, and understand how to elevate specific parts of the text.
Yet I wanted something more.
I didn't want a tool to write the book for me.
I wanted an editorial assistant.
An assistant to help me assess the strengths and weaknesses of my story, determine where it fits in the market, who its target audience is, and how to pitch it.
And someone to guide the subsequent phases: copy-editing, pacing analysis, pitch material preparation, and turning what lives inside the pages into compelling social media content.
The Origin
From this realization, Scribere was born.
An editorial assistant designed to accompany the author throughout the entire journey — from the first draft of the manuscript to launching the book to readers.
Scribere does not write your story.
It helps you elevate it.
Incredible stories get lost along the way due to lack of direction.
- A great idea can stay stranded in a folder.
- A chapter might not land the way it should.
- A book can have huge potential, yet the writer cannot pinpoint exactly where the friction lies.
That is where Scribere steps in.
It empowers you to see your story through fresh eyes, uncover what can be polished, and make clearer, more intentional decisions.
And it doesn't stop at drafting.
Scribere supports each stage: literary analysis, story development, proofreading, positioning, pitch preparation, and content creation to connect with readers.
"Because writing is a passion. But it comes with real challenges that Scribere is here to help solve."
